Juvenile Justice System Pakistan

Juveniles Jail is not a place where a juvenile can be socialized with a sense of dignity. The majority of prisoners are under trail. They are languishing in jails under the bad conditions due to the slow process of the courts and lack of special juvenile’s courts. Many youthful offenders are meted inhuman treatments, sexually abused, tortured, humiliated, ostracized and isolate by the society. They spend long period behinds the bars because of their inability to provide bail money. And when they spend time in prisons with hard-core criminals it leaves them with little option but to follow their footsteps. Juvenile Justice System does not exist in whole Pakistan.
